Beginners &
Open Classes

Holistic yoga classes taught by Cheryl Dingle, suited to beginners or those who wish to deepen their practise in a slow and nurturing environment. Emphasis is placed on students moving through posture sequences according to their individual needs and abilities. Each class flows into the next class so the student experiences gradual progress.

Classes offer asana, both restorative and dynamic, breath control and meditation in a relaxed atmosphere. Students are encouraged to be mindful and adventurous in their self-exploration allowing for gradual change to emerge. Pre and Post-natal women are welcome and postures will be modified according to their needs.

The preconceived idea that I could never get into those positions does not hold here because at every single class you are carefully tutored in technique and given modifications to suit all situations.

You are also advised to delete certain asanas ( yoga movements) altogether so therefore it is advisable to notify your instructor before a class whether you are pregnant, have an injury or are menstrual. All of these can be dealt with in a class situation.

This is a group class and so we have fun!

Personal Tuition

Personal Tuition is a way to learn each sequence, learn to adapt it to yourself and then add and change other sequences as variations for your future practice, eventually taking your yoga into a higher level, both physically and emotionally.

These sessions will also help those who need specialist adjusting e.g. scoliosis, back injury, neck injury, knee strengthening, hip opening, lung and heart problems and address any special medical conditions such as pregnancy, stress, circulation and any other physical disability to mention a few.

Our method is individual, it is how all yogis were taught before yoga became much more popularized.

The emphasis in these sessions is on commitment and self discipline. It is very personal – a programme is written up for your particular set of circumstances and you take it home to practice.

Beginners to advanced are welcome.
