We believe it is your day, so why shouldn't your function be your way! Whatever the occasion, we aim to help by offering you a range of solutions to make your function special. We are happy to work in with you to provide the special touches that you and your guests will remember forever.
The Church
The centrepiece of Bell's Retreat, apart from the magnificient peace and tranquility of our rural surrounds, is the lovingly restored weatherboard church. This beautiful non-denominational church offers you a spectacular setting that can be arranged in a variety of configurations to host ceremonies, parties, band performances, workshops, markets and more...
The building accoustics have been enhanced with quality insulation, and it even boasts a wonderful fireplace for your comfort and ambience in the cooler months.
Cater or Self-cater
Bring your own caterers, cater your self, or have us prepare you a feast to fit your budget. Bell's Retreat also features a bush kitchen that includes a spit roast and wood fired pizza oven, as well as refrigerators, stove and sinks.
Our largest function to date was for 250 guests. Whatever your dietry requirements are we encourage you to discuss your needs with us to create a range of menu choices.
Country Setting
Our location offers a wonderful opportunity to add a real aussie bush feeling to your function. The dam beside the church offers a spectacular backdrop for unique wedding photos.
The peace and tranquility of Bell's Retreta offers privacy and room for you and your guests to enjoy your stay with us.
Car Hire
Arrive in style in our 1963 Ford Fairlaine convertable! With the top down as this baby arrives at the front door, all eyes are guaranteed to be on you.
We also have connections with other classic car owners and are happy to arrange introduction for you to increase the fleet of stylish cars your group can make an entrance in.
With our onsite hot showers and toilet block, including disabled access, we can offer overnight camping accommodation. Bring your caravan, pitch a tent or for those wanting more traditional accommodation there are a range of hotels and B&Bs on offer within 5 minutes in historic Maldon.
