WWOOF Host (VG049)

We have proudly been WWOOF hosts for almost 20 years, and love sharing our culture and lifestyle.  WWOOF is a series of Host properties where members volunteer to work in exchange for food, accomodation and learning.  EXCHANGE is the key word, and the true spirit of WWOOFing, with the expectation of exchanging between 4-6 hours per day of energy for lodgings.  This can be flexible and fits around the regualar farm routine of the hosts.

Over 300 young (and old) people, even some family, have stayed with us for anything from a few days to a couple of months. We feel fortunate that our children have grown up experiencing a home full of iinteresting international cooking, foreign languages and cultural sharing.

As our WWOOF advertisement says;

"Living as family on our well-established Permaculture property with rare fruits, milking goat, chooks, ducks, dogs + young adult twins sons. Always varied and interesting work to offer those keen to learn including, firewood gathering, no-dig gardening, berry picking in season, solar drying excess fruit, fruit tree propagation, general farm work and assisting with market stalls if interested.

We love food, mainly vegetarian with high emphasis on raw foods. My passion is daily yoga, taking the goat for walks, & a collection of classic Ford motorcars. Yoga classes available at YogaSchool nearby. Swim in our large dam. Families welcome. Accom for up to 8 people in bus,2 caravans, cottage & loft in main mudbrick house. No Smoking Indoors. Can pick up from train at Castlemaine"

If you are interested in coming to stay with us, please feel free to contact us either by phone or email and ensure you mention your WWOOF id number, a full description of yourself, and of course your interests as we recieve alot of requests to host.
