What can Personal Tuition do for you in more detail…

Yoga has always promoted better health but sometimes it can be adapted to a particular problem. This could be emotional or nerve related. Anything to do with the spinal column and internal organs and perhaps blood supply concentrating on hormonal and/or cervical levels. Most problems emanate from one or more of the above. For example, if one has a nerve mechanism, one has to be careful not to exert oneself. If one has blood circulation issues, then there needs to be considerable exertion to suit that persons capacity.

 

Unfortunately nearly all occupations force us to act one-sidedly. They cause some parts of the body to become too relaxed or weak while other parts are too tender or too hard. This causes the stronger parts to pull the weaker parts out of shape. Yoga can counterbalance this. As Cheryl says: "The aim is to create a strong and stable foundation and this begins with standing correctly. But even someone who is very unwell can come here in a weelchair and we can focus on just the little toes or fingers and still achieve results. I begin with what's possible and slowly allow the student to evolve."

 

An individual program is designed for each person. Sometimes it takes a few months of practice before very stiff areas in the body can actually be penetrated and then the program is changed to suit your level of experience and move into ANOTHER area. Specific programs can be tailored for pregnancy, injury, stress, menopause and other issuese.g. Astunga Yoga sequence is very suitable for a young athlete who really needs to sweat it out, or Restorative sequence for those in need of a pick me up. A program can also be tailored to meet the needs of a particular sport and aim to balance the muscle groups and produce effortless performance, e.g. Tennis basketball, Football.It is important that you discuss your needs with your instructor and also relate ANY medical conditions  e.g. Circulation or Digestive disorders.

 

You never stop learning. All lessons are individually tailored to your needs and requirements. We will not be limiting you to a particular sequence but will show you how to vary it and make it more accessible as you change, not just in your practice but in your life.

 

You can choose between:

1 day a week $70 (4 sessions)

2 days a week $120 (8 sessions)

3 days a week $160 (12 sessions)

 

Payment for these sessions is due in advance for 4 weeks.

Private Classes are also available by appointment only and are tought with complete confidentiality, often usefull when you want to establish your program for Personal Tuition.
